1. Training Remotely - Supported by a Team Across the Country

This is a post from Team Interactive’s Seattle-based runner, Michael Denton.

Being 2900 miles away from the rest of your team does NOT make traning for a marathon easy.  To make up for the distance between us, our team has been incredible with training and fundraising support. I’ve been tracking my runs via My Tracks, a Google Android app that tracks speed, distance, splits, elevation, and location.  I export the results to a Google Map, share them with my team, and they provide feedback and encouragement. Check out some examples!

I receive an equal amount of support in my fundraising efforts from the team.  When throwing an event last week, My team, and CampInteractive utilized Twitter, Facebook and other social media channels to help me get the word out about the event.

A huge thank you to my team for their continued support even though i’m across the country.  Can’t wait to spend the week before the marathon together.
